Questions Raising on Aadhaar Card: Government will have to take big steps

While the Modi government tried to change the identity of the country during its tenure, the government also changed the identity of nation’s citizens. The government has given every 12 identical marks to every person in the country, yes, we are talking about Aadhar card. The government made mandatory Aadhar cards in all the places in such a way that the question was raised on its identity. The matter reached the Supreme Court. The question arises in the Supreme Court whether it is not abetting the rights of a person’s privacy, while on the one hand it is being said that legal rights are given, whereas on the other hand the Aadhaar card is questioning the right to privacy.

Various political parties and NGOs raised questions about the security related to Aadhaar and also accused of being sensitive to the government. There were also questions about the security of the Aadhaar Card. The Supreme Court also heard the hearing of the Aadhaar card, in which several questions have arisen. The question is whether the Aadhaar violates the rights of a person’s privacy. A bench of five judges has been formed to answer and solve the same question. In the past, the Aadhaar was essentially linked to all the services such as bank accounts, mobile phones etc. According to the government, the need to connect the identity number to income tax returns, enforce the system better and prevent fraud, but this question mark has arisen from time to time.

Observe the figures that about 90 percent of the public identity is now present with the government through a 12-point basis, the question is arising that the way news of leakage has been reported in recent days, How is the government taking responsibility for the safety of the data of 90 percent of the people of this country? Apart from the security of the Aadhaar data, the public’s privacy can not be dissolved, the Government will have to pay a lot of attention to this. However, it is not that the government is not aware about it or is taking any action. The Government is now engaged in efforts to make this 12-digit CORD safe. To further strengthen the security, UIDAI is taking steps to prepare a virtual ID of every Aadhar card, under which you will have to give 12 digits instead of your identity, but a 16-digit virtual ID. It will be generated from your Aadhaar card.

While the Aadhar card has given a distinct identity to the people, on the other hand, the problem of security for the government remains uncertain. What level of concern is there for cyber crime government, it is clear from the fact that the government has also dealt with cyber security with Israel. It is not easy for the government to handle such a large data of Aadhar card, it needs to take effective steps.
