According to the Ministry of Labor, the Ministry issued a notification related to the amendment of the Employees Provident Fund Scheme 1952 on 28 March. According to the ministry, employees can withdraw the basic salary and dearness allowance for three months or whatever is less than 75 percent of the total amount deposited in the PF account.
Process to withdraw money from EPF during Lockdown
Step1. You must first login to the Unified Member Portal. After this enter your UAN number and password. Go to the Manage tab and see that all the information given by you is correct and verified. After this you have to go to the Online Services tab.
Step2. After that, from the drop down menu, select Claim Form 31, 19 and 10C. Here the details of members and KYC details will be seen on the claim screen. Now you have to enter the last 4 digits of your bank account. After this, click on Yes to proceed the process.
Step3. After this, click on the online claim. Now select the reason in the claim form. Now submit the application. After this the application will go to the field office and after being processed from there the amount will come in your account.
After the release of the notification, the EPFO has instructed its regional offices that quick decisions should be taken on the applications of EPF members to provide assistance in facing the situation. The EPFO has directed that officers and employees take a decision on the claims of EPF members soon so that relief can be reached to the workers and their families in the fight against Kovid-19 at the earliest.
Aadhaar Services during Lockdown – All about Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) Aadhaar Services during the lockdown period.
